Just because I’ve neglected to mention it before, you should know that you are extremely talented at gif-ing.

Thank you so much! :) <3

You’re very pretty, and your hair is gah just amazing. I have straight hair, that’s kinda wavy, and so I’m very jelly right now! (:

Aw thanks! And haha I’m very jelly of your straight hair, it looks so nice and silky- on bad days my hair is like Hermione’s in the first film!

I have curls right out of the shower too! and the rest of the day -__-

lol curls are awesome once you learn to care for them/love them! wear them with pride :D

Normally the water weighs it down, but I’ve known my fair share of really stubborn curls that exist even when wet. Also, did you used to have long hair but cut a lot off recently?

Hahaha nice. And hmm, not really- I got a haircut about a month and a half ago and got my layers redone/bangs, but it’s not much shorter than before! Why do you ask?

I don’t know about that. Don’t compare your self with anyone how much ever you like that person or their style . To tell you the truth you are by very pretty and hair looks good on you.You know you are unique and beautiful. I am not exaggarating

Haha thanks! But I’m curious, why not, lol? I don’t think there’s anything wrong with comparisons like this one. mean, I was being a little facetious but I was pretty happy with my hair today and thought it was a bit of a coincidence how similar it was to Zoya’s hair, haha. I mean, I don’t think I’m engaging in an act of hubris or anything, lol.

You have lovely curls! My hair naturally makes similar big banana curls right after I get out of the shower. Unfortunately, they fall out in a matter of hours.

Thanks! :) And that’s so interesting- you’re the first person other than me who’s told me that they have curls right out of the shower! Nobody believes me when I tell them my hair is curly even when it’s wet because apparently that’s not normal? lol idk.

themanfromnantucket replied to your photo: hands.

Please tell me that the thing they’re both reaching for is the last pink-glazed doughnut (that is what it looks like…).)

Lolol no, they’re reaching for a blanket to tuck his mom into bed (she pretended to pass out)

Alright. I give up. My curiosity won out. You said you had some links to the show with English subtitles…?

hahaha I knew you’d give in eventually :D

Okay so I suggest you read these mini-synopses first so you get a sense of what’s going on and you can skip around (I mean, this show airs 5 days a week, there are already 120 episodes, haha): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Qubool_Hai_episodes

Here’s where you can watch the show with subtitles! http://desirippers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=554&order=desc

Jess I’m tagging your url too since I know you want to watch it too :)

Wait. Did Asad and Zoya get engaged? From what I can tell they haven’t even said “I love you” to each other, how did they end up engaged?

Zoya’s visa’s about to expire, so Asad gave her an employment letter to give to the visa office that said she was an employee of his company. However, Tanveer called the visa office and told them Zoya was overstaying her visa and that she wasn’t an employee so they called and checked, and since his employees didn’t know about the situation, they told the truth. So now the immigration officer is coming to Asad’s house to deport Zoya, and to stop him, Asad’s going to say she can’t leave the country because they’re going to get engaged. Hence a forced engagement! It’s going to be very dramatic and very fun and very interesting to watch :D

(btw this hasn’t happened yet, all of this stuff about the engagement is based on promos/the preview for tomorrow’s episode- Asad hasn’t actually said anything yet and we don’t know where he gets the ring and how he gets this idea)

themanfromnantucket replied to your post: *SPLAT* you just got snowballed! Ok, here’s how it…

I’m really, really impressed by your language-speaking abilities. How do you go about acquiring them?

Bengali: My parent’s language and my first language!

English: Haha well this one’s self explanatory, growing up in the US and ending up as a Lit major.

Spanish: Started taking classes at the YMCA when I was 7, took private lessons until I was 10 (didn’t learn much beyond verb conjugation haha) and then took it formally from 7th grade to my senior year of high school!

Hindi: Literally learned it all from watching a lot of Bollywood and Hindi serials. I didn’t understand a thing in 2006, but I started connecting the words to the subtitles and then thanks to the similarities between Hindi and Bengali, it was easier to pick up. And now I’m pretty fluent! (Can’t read it or Bengali though)

You are really skilled with your camera!

Haha thanks! I’m dying to get back over there and take more photographs, especially since I actually have a DSLR now :D (these pics are relatively ancient, they’re all from 2010 but I figured it was about time for me to actually make some edits with them)

themanfromnantucket asked: "I looked it up; it's beauty and the beast."

Thanks! I didn’t even know there was a show called Beauty and the Beast, haha- haven’t been watching enough American tv!
